The Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry class is designed for individuals seeking comprehensive, responsible training for concealed carry and personal protection. This course meets the requirements for an Enhanced Idaho Concealed Carry License and emphasizes sound judgement, legal understanding, and real-world readiness.

Class Overview

This in-depth course covers the foundational principles of concealed carry and home defense while reinforcing the mindset required to avoid, manage, and survive defensive encounters. Students learn not just how to carry and shoot, but when not to, and how to make informed decisions under stress. 
Instruction blends classroom learning with live range application, ensuring students understand both the legal and practical responsibilities of concealed carry.

How The Class Is Taught

  • Approximately 6 hours of classroom instruction
  • Approximately 2 hours of live range training
  • Hands-on discussion and scenario-based learning
  • Instructor-guided range application

A scheduled break allows time for a quick bite to eat and travel between the classroom and range.

Safety Comes First

Safety and responsibility are central to every TVSA course.
All training is conducted under strict safety protocols with constant instructor supervision. Emphasis is placed on safe firearm handling, lawful decision-making, and responsible carry practices.

Instructor Experience

This Course is instructed by Certified USCCA Instructors. Here at TVSA, our instructors bring professional training experience, real-world insight, and a grounded teaching approach focused on clarity, safety, and accountability.


What You Are Required To Bring

To participate fully and safely in this course, students are required to bring the following:

  • A handgun of your choosing (what you intend to carry every day)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
  • A holster that properly fits your handgun
  • Pants or shorts with belt loops and a sturdy belt
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Closed-toe footwear (open-toe shoes are not permitted)
  • Beverages (hydration is strongly recommended)
  • An open mind, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn

Important Safety Note

  • Leave all ammunition secured in your vehicle
  • Bring your UNLOADED handgun, holster, and EMPTY magazine(s) into the classroom
  • No ammunition will be used during classroom instruction

For safety reasons, students will be required to verify that all firearms and magazines are EMPTY and UNLOADED, by one of TVSA's Instructors, prior to the start of the class.

*Failure to follow these safety requirements may result in removal from the course.

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida (resident permit only), Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan (resident permit only), Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.   

 ***YOU ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY COVERED IN OREGON. Our certificates are recognized in the state of Oregon and meet Oregon state requirements. You will need to schedule an appointment in an Oregon city (Vale is a nearby option) and go present our certificate to receive coverage for the state of Oregon.

 

U.S. States NOT included:

California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon (though Oregon will recognize your Idaho certificate and you can obtain it's endorsement), and Rhode Island.
