Practical Rifle (Carbine) Classes
Build Rifle Skill With Intention
The Practical Rifle (RTAC) program is designed for shooters looking to advance their rifle-handling skills in realistic, dynamic environments. These courses focus on movement, teamwork, distance management, and decision-making under pressure.
TVSA offers three progressive levels of Practical Rifle training. Each level intentionally builds on the last, ensuring students develop safely, methodically, and with confidence.

Class Overview
The RTAC program provides students with knowledge, feedback, and new foundations to effectively function with a rifle in situations that may necessitate its use. Training emphasizes adaptability, accountability, and real-world application rather than static shooting alone.
There is NO classroom portion for RTAC courses. All instruction takes place on the shooting range.
While prerequisite courses are recommended, TVSA Chief Instructors may evaluate students seeking to enter higher-level courses to ensure appropriate placement based on skill, familiarity, and experience.
Students who are less familiar with tactical rifles are encouraged, but not required, to attend Basics prior to enrolling in RTAC courses.
